HELLO, WE’RE LEROY AND LINDA HIDALGO, FOUNDERS OF R-10 HEAT AND AIR
In late 2022, my wife Linda and I launched R-10 Heat and Air because we saw something missing in the HVAC industry: genuine care and commitment to customers’ needs and budgets.
After decades in heavy industrial construction, I built my career on relationships, empathy, and a simple philosophy we used to call “giving a sht.”*
Today, too many local HVAC providers are owned by big corporations where “give a damn” has been replaced by “give us your money.” R-10 Heat and Air was built to change that.
We started by acquiring the assets, database, and crew from Temperature Pro Arlington/Mansfield, giving us a strong foundation of experienced techs, reliable systems, and long-term customer relationships. Three years later, with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, AI-driven service software, and a “we give a damn” attitude, we’re proud to serve Fort Worth and the surrounding communities with the same care we built our name on.
What Does R10 Mean and Why It Represents Who We Are
Our logo and name have a story behind them.
The German Shepherd you see is my Search and Rescue partner, Wroughton, call sign “R10.” Together, we served as a nationally certified NASAR Search and Rescue K9 team, specializing in live-find, large area searches.
R10 stands for loyalty, precision, and dedication.
Those are the same values we bring to every job today.
We were proud members (now retired) of the nationally recognized Search One Rescue Team serving the DFW area. This all-volunteer group provides search and rescue support for local, state, and federal agencies. You can learn more at www.searchone.org.
Many of our teammates, along with close friends in the Texas K9 search community, also aided in recovery efforts during the South Central Texas floods of July 2025. Take a look and lend your support if you can.

What does integrity and attitude look like in an HVAC repair company?
Our techs are hired for their experience and knowledge of HVAC systems they have installation, as well as troubleshooting experience. Our field techs are supported by management that has over 30 years of technical trouble shooting and complete systems design experience. They will tell you the truth about the condition of your system and will offer you options on the most affordable repair of your system if it’s needed. They are not encouraged to up sale or pump-up repair costs or to encourage you to move up to a new unit. We will offer competitive pricing for our upgrades and new units if you are interested in those options.
We know these are trying times and there just isn’t disposable income to cover unexpected new costs. We can offer flexible financing if that helps you budget for an unexpected repair. We want to be someone you can trust to treat you fairly. This is the foundation that we are building our business on.
